After making a switch to the Northern part of Cyprus for his debut campaign in Europe, Nigerian youngster, Ugochukwu Nwachukwu helped his side, Cetinkaya TurkSpor to a comfortable 5th position finish, firing in 12 goals and another 12 assists for the Red Thunders.
The fleet-footed forward notched up the impressive figures shuffling between midfield roles and playing from wide positions for the 13-times champions.
When quizzed on how he adapted to his new environment, the ex-Enyimba forward said “It did not come easy, I had to give myself extra sessions and made sure i repay the faith of my coach and the confidence my team mates had in me. I thank God for seeing me through.
Speaking from his holiday destination, Ugo said he has his eyes fixed on next season and hopes to do even more. “I can’t thank everyone enough for helping me settle down quickly. I’m glad I was able to show a tip of what to expect. I can’t wait for next season, so I can help my team get to enviable heights”.
The player who made the move in the summer of 2018, made 35 appearances for the Red and Yellows in the just concluded 2018/19 season.
