John Obi Mikel – The captain appears to be fitter than he has ever been under the reins of Rohr as coach of the Super Eagles. Aside from completing all of the training drills his performance in the practice game was by far the best. His positioning, distribution, passes and also movement was way above every other player in the team.

Henry Onyekuru – He is not slowing down on his ambition to start games for the Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. His decision making with and without the ball caught the eyes particularly in situations when a pass is better than a shot at goal. Could gatecrash the starting lineup.

Ola Aina – Not looking like the same player who was dropped from the squad to the World Cup in Russia. His confidence on the ball and decision making stood him out. He also got his interceptions and tackles right but still has to work on his positioning.

Paul Onuachu – Rare to see a player of his height play so well with his feet. The manner which he has taken to life in the senior national team of Nigeria has been spectacular. He scored a cheeky goal before netting another in spectacular fashion with some step overs before applying the finish.

Moses Simon – Too good for the defenders he was up against and looks like a more than capable replacement for Victor Moses. Spot on with his crosses, dribbles without stress, marks and also picks out his passes with ease. Almost scored a solo goal during the session.
