The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play the 3-5-2 formation against Senegal later today in a close door friendly match which will take place at the training base of the Nigerian team.
Senegal and Nigeria are using the game to prepare their team for the challenge of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and both teams are expected to put up a strong team for the game.
As first reported by Owngoalnigeria.com, coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr has released his lineup with Daniel Akpeyi maintaining his role as first choice goalkeeper. A role he could play at the 2019 AFCON if he impresses in today’s game.
In defence, the coach opt for a back three with Leon Balogun out sick meaning Kenneth Omeruo will play as the left sided central defender while Chidozie Awaziem plays from the right and William Troost-Ekong is played in between the duo.
The wingback positions will be occupied by Samuel Kalu and Jamilu Collins on the right and left respectively with the new found midfield three of Mikel Obi, Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi playing behind the two strikers.
Samuel Chukwueze will play behind Odion Ighalo who will lead the attack and in the absence of Paul Onuachu due to illness, Victor Osimhen will be the back up plan of the coach during the course of the game.
