Ola Aina has earned praises from the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr on the way he has improved lately judging by the fact that he missed out on a spot in the squad for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Aina spent the last season on loan to Italian Serie A side Torino and his performance made the team to trigger the option of signing him permanently two weeks ago.
He has carried his form to the team of Nigeria ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where he is expected to be the first choice of Nigeria at right full back with coach Rohr also pleased with the fact that he can play in a back three and also as a wingback.
” Aina has improved really well. That why we tell our players to go to teams where they will play and get better. He is a different player entirely and his presence gives us another option in defence when we play with three at the back and he can play as a wingback”, Rohr said.
