As reported by this portal he has been the most prolific goal scorer in the Super Eagles training sessions but many were still of the opinion that Ighalo will start until the lineup was revealed by coach Gernot Rohr.
It’s still unclear if China based Ighalo is among the players who are down ill at the moment as said by Rohr during the pre match conference yesterday.
Ighalo’s other partner in attack Ahmed Musa will also not start today’s game against Burundi despite recovering from the illness that made him miss training for four days.
