The lineup of the Super Eagles of Nigeria as exclusively revealed by Owngoalnigeria.com showed that the team will play the favorite 4-3-3 formation of coach of the Nigerian team ‎Gernot Rohr.
In the lineup revealed by this portal around 12pm Daniel Akpeyi starts in goal but the coach was forced to make three changes in positions in defence by bringing two players to make up for the unavailability of Leon Balogun and Jamilu Collins, who are both unfit due to illness.
Ola Aina switched to the left back role with Shehu Abdullahi coming in at right back while Kenneth Omeruo pairs William Troost-Ekong in central defence in the absence of Balogun.
Captain of the team John Obi Mikel will play as the deepest of the midfield trio, which is the defensive midfield position with Wilfred Ndidi ahead of him while Oghenekaro Etebo will play behind the main striker Paul Onuachu.
Onuachu will be flanked by Alex Iwobi on the left, a role similar to the one he plays for his English Premier League side Arsenal while Villarreal teen sensation Samuel Chukwueze will operate on the left in place of Samuel Kalu who slumped during yesterday’s training due to dehydration. He has however returned to the team but sits on the bench.
