Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has revealed the starting lineup for the Super Eagles for their second AFCON 2019 group game against Guinea, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
In goal, Daniel Akpeyi keeps his place but in defence William Troost-Ekong is dropped for the returning Leon Balogun who pairs Kenneth Omeruo in central defence. Chidozie Awaziem keeps his spot as the right full back of the team with Shehu Abdullahi out of the tournament while Ola Aina will play as left full back.
In midfield as first reported by this portal, captain of the team John Obi Mikel drops to the bench after his below par performance against Burundi with the trio of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Oghenekaro Etebo preferred as the midfield trio.
Moses Simon comes in for Samuel Chukwueze who drops to the bench with Ahmed Musa also starting for the first time on the left while Paul Onuachu drops out of the team for Odion Ighalo who scored the winner after coming off the bench against Burundi.
