Captain of the senior national team of Nigeria John Mikel Obi has joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a two year deal per an announcement by the club on their official website.

However his transfer is not the only one involving Nigerian players as over ten Nigerian players have switched clubs in the early days of the transfer window in Europe and other part of the world.
