Super Eagles wing forward Moses Simon says he is confident that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will triumph over Cameroon when both teams clash in the round of 16 at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com after their penultimate training ahead of the game which will take place on Saturday, the Levante forward said the loss to Madagascar has proven to them that they still have a lot to do if they are to be crowned champions.
” Cameroon is not the type of team you boast about beating because they can pull surprise at anytime. However I am confident that we will get a good result against them on Saturday. The loss to Madagascar is a wake up call”, Simon told Owngoalnigeria.com.
On the duels against Cameroon which he has played in the past, Simon who has started once in the two games he has played out of the three played by the Super Eagles jokingly said he knows how to score against them.
” Maybe I’m the good luck charm of the Super Eagles. I’ve a two goals and one assist against them in three games. I scored in the friendly game in Belgium and also during the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup. I’m feeling real good looking ahead of the clash”, he said with smiles.
