Former Nigeria U17, 20 and 23 forward Theophilus Solomon has joined Albanian side Partizani Tirani on a two year deal with the option of another from Hungarian side Ujpest.
Solomon joined Ujpest six months ago after terminating his contract with Croatian side Inter Zapresic with many expecting him to hit the ground running after settling down to life towards the end of last season.
He didn’t get enough game time to show his worth last season but upon resumption for pre season, he was told that the chances of getting regular game time is slim at the club and a loan deal was mooted for him but he rejected it.
Partizani Tirani beat three other teams pushing to sign him and he yesterday passed his medical with the team and resumed training ahead of their UEFA Champions League qualifiers next week.
The Albanian side will take on Kazakhstan outfit Qarabag on Wednesday in the first round of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers and Solomon will take part in the game after his successful registration yesterday.
