This group B was the most interesting one because all the teams were tough. It was interesting because Madagascar and Nigeria had a difference of one point.
Group C
Group C comprised of Kenya, Senegal, Algeria, and Tanzania. Algeria emerged to be the best team. Algeria won all their three matches with 9 points. Kenya and Tanzania did not make it, and so they were eliminated from the preliminary.
Group D
In group D, we had Morocco team, Ivory Coast team, South Africa team, and Namibia. Morocco was the winner because they won in their three matches and got 9 points. Namibia didn’t make it, and they had to be out of the African cup of nations.
Group E
In group E, we had had Mali, Tunisia, Angola, and Mauritania. Mali team was the lead with 7 points. They got seven points because they won two matches with one draw. Angola and Mauritania did not make it, and they had to go home.
Group F
Group F had Ghana, Cameron, Benin, and Guinea- Bissau. Guinea-Bissau did not make it to the knockout stage. Ghana emerged the winners with 5 points. Ghana won one with two draws. Ghana had 5 points so as for Cameroon, and that is why this group was said to have tough teams.
