Sweden representative in this year Europa League Malmo are facing the prospect of losing 23 year old Nigerian midfielder Innocent Bonke before the end of the summer transfer window, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Bonke has been outstanding the past two months with as many as four team of the week nominations and also four man of the match award. A form that hasn’t gone unnoticed by top teams in Europe.
Few months ago, Bonke turned down a lucrative move to Kazakhstan despite not having a run of regular game at Malmo, he decided to fight for his spot and with that aim achieved he could be tempted with a move away.
He is reportedly pinning for a move to a team in a league where he will be noticed by coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr. Based on reports gathered by this portal he is among the players the Franco-German coach scouted before releasing his squad for the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Offers from teams in Belgium, Holland and Germany have been discussed with his representatives but Malmo are keen on holding onto his services until at least the January transfer window but it is believed that Bonke want a move now.
