English Premier League side Chelsea are not in anyway keen on sanctioning the transfer of Kenneth Omeruo to Leganes of Spain where he spent last season on loan.
Omeruo is keen on continuing with the club who have also indicated their interest in signing him permanently but Chelsea are yet to give them a favourable response.
The departure of Maurizo Sarri slowed things down regarding his move away as new coach Frank Lampard need to asses his options before making any decision on players who were on loan last season especially as the club can’t sign players due to the transfer ban slammed on them.
Talks have slowed down about Omeruo’s exit and his performance at the Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria have also earned him more interest with Celta Vigo reportedly ready to offer Chelsea more than what Leganes want to pay for the 25 years old.
His future will be decided at the end of the Africa Cup of Nations where Nigeria are presently through to the semi-final and he has played in all but one of the games at the tournament and won the man of the match against Guinea, a game he also scored his first international goal for Nigeria.
