Ola Aina will once again not be in the starting lineup for the senior national team of Nigeria when they take on Algeria in the semi final of the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Aina played in all of the group games including the 3-2 win over Cameroon in the round of 16 but the return to full fitness of Jamilu Collins saw him drop to the bench for the 2-1 win over South Africa.
Collins justified his inclusion ahead of Aina with a very good display against Percy Tau and that has convinced Rohr to stick by him for the semi-final game against Algeria.
Chidozie Awaziem is expected to retain his spot as the right back of the team as he has impressed the coach since the first game he played following the injury to Shehu Abdullahi, the regular right back of the team.
