Arikpo, Sor, Gata & Jibril On Target For Flying Eagles In Friendly Win Over All Stars FC

Ahead of their campaign at the All African Games in Morocco, the Nigeria U20 team defeated Abuja based side All Stars FC ‎4-0 in a friendly game played at their training ground in Abuja, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Victor Arikpo put the Nigerian team ahead with a well struck freekick before Sor Collins doubled their lead before the half time break to give them a 2-0 lead going into the break.

Adeshina Gata made it 3-0 to the Nigerian team before Saheed Jibril whipped in a freekick which was deflected in for the fourth and final goal which sealed a 4-0 win for the boys of coach Paul Aigbogun.

Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, Aigbogun said the game is good for the morale of the team as it shows they can score goals and hope they replicate same form when they travel to Morocco for the tournament proper.

” Scoring four goals in whatever game is good for the confidence of any team. It shows the ability to score goals is in the team and we are hoping to carry same momentum to the All Africa Games to make Nigeria proud “, he said.
