Chidozie Awaziem will likely leave FC Porto permanently this summer following progressive talks with French League 1 side Nantes, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Awaziem did well while on loan to Rizespor in the second half of last season following his loan move from Porto in January and that expectedly led to interest in this services from teams around Europe.
Istanbul Basaksehir ‎pushed to sign him but failed to reach an agreement with Porto despite his desire to remain in Turkey and continue his progress following the success he enjoyed last season.
Nantes where he spent a happy time on loan two seasons ago are now favorite to sign the 21 year old according to a member of his management team who spoke on the condition of anonymity to Owngoalnigeria.com.
” The move to Nantes is happening. At a time it looks dead but from all that has happened the past few days Awaziem could join them permanently. A fee is yet to be agreed with Porto particularly sell on clause and more but that won’t be a problem”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
