Super Eagles wing forward Moses Simon is back in training with Laliga side Levante despite reports suggesting that his loan move to French Ligue 1 side Nantes is as good as done.
Simon arrived in Spain yesterday for training after the extended break he was given due to his involvement with Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations although talks is still ongoing with Nantes.
The winger and his representatives are pushing for the move to the Ligue 1 side who are also interested in signing him permanently at the end of his loan spell, something that Levante are yet to agree.
Nantes want to have the option of signing him permanently for €5m after his loan spell but Levante want at least €8m with add ons which could see the fee rise to €10m.
Negotiations were paused for a while as Nantes had to get a coach in place first and that they did with the appointment of Christian Gourcuff in place of Vahid Halilhodzic who quit the club last week after a disagreement with the directors of the club.
For now Simon who is also courting interest from other teams in France, Spain and Germany will continue to train with Levante hoping a deal can be struck with Nantes or any other team unless he is assured of playing time with Levante.
