In the build up to the U20 World Youth Championship Saheed Jibril was one player not known to many except those who followed the Nigerian team during the final stage of their preparations for the tournament.
Jibril who plays for Nigeria Professional Football League side Plateau United is a product of the famous Golden Boot Soccer Academy (GBS) and like other graduates of the club his talent was never in doubt.
He impressed with the team and earned a spot in the list of player who went to the final training camp of the team in Germany but didn’t make the squad for the tournament proper in Poland.
Back with the team as they step up preparations for the All Africa Games, his name is on the lips of everyone who has watched the team as he can not only score but also assist and the way he glide past his markers with ease has made him a favorite of many at their training base in Abuja.
