“Everyone will go away talking about Joe Aribo and rightly so,” Gerrard said after the game.

“I am not sure how many good players have been at this stadium, but I don’t think you will see many better than Joe”.

The summer signing has already earned his first call up to the senior national team of Nigeria for their upcoming friendly game against Ukraine largely due to his form since his summer move from Charlton to Rangers on a free transfer.

Since moving to Rangers, the central midfielder has scored four goals in 8 games in all competitions with an average of a goal every 165 minutes from the 658 minutes he has so far played this season.
