The Nigeria U20 team are one step away from the next round of the football event of the ongoing All Africa Games after a 2-1 win over South Africa in their second group game.
Saheed Jibril teed up Sor Collins to put the Nigerian team ahead but they conceded in the second half with South Africa taking advantage of their wastefulness in front of goal to draw level.
Ghali Ahmed who scored the lone goal for Nigeria in the 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso popped up with what ended as the winner with a firm header from a cross from captain of the team Ibrahim Abubakar‎, who bagged his second assist of the game.
The win gave the Nigeria U20 team four points from two games and a draw in their final game against Morocco will see them qualify for the semi-final of the football event of the championship most call the African version of the Olympics.
