The proposed free transfer of Nigeria U23 midfielder Kelechi Nwakali from Arsenal to Spanish second division side Huesca is back on according to the president of the Spanish side Manolo Torres.

As reported by this portal early this week, the representative of Nwakali couldn’t reach an agreement with the Spanish side and that led to a breakdown in talks despite the willingness of Arsenal to sanction the deal.

Arsenal want the 21 year old off their wage bill as part of the restructuring going on at the club hence they are willing to let him leave for free but personal terms according to Manolo has stalled the deal.

The Huesca president while explaining the difficulties in the deal hint at the challenge of agreeing a wage for the 2015 World Youth Championship Most Valuable Player ‎(MVP) who recently switched to a new management team.

However talks are progressing nicely and hopefully the deal will be completed as they are the only club who have shown an interest in signing him this summer, no thanks to his not too impressive time on loan last season to the B team of Portuguese side FC Porto.
