David Okereke, Dennis Bonaventure, Faleye, Odey In List Of Foreign Pros For Nigeria U23 Against Sudan

Nigeria U23 will this weekend take on their counterparts from Sudan in the final round of qualifiers for the Africa U23 Cup of Nations which is the qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The team has been training in Abuja for three weeks largely with players picked from local teams in Nigeria by coach of the team Imama Amapakabo who has also extended invitation to some players based abroad for the game.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that aside captain of the team Azubuike Okechukwu, Blessing Olabiran and Sunday Faleye who are already in camp, Club Brugge duo of David Okereke and Dennis Bonaventure are expected to arrive camp today.

They will be joined by Stephen Odey of Genk with the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) expected to make the list of foreign based players public before the end of today.

Kelechi Nwakali is expected to be named in the squad but there are doubts over his availability as he is presently trying to trash out his move from Arsenal to Spanish second division side Huesca before the end of the summer transfer window in Europe.
