Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has earned more praises from coach coach Christian Gourcuff after his assist helped his loan side Nantes to a 1-0 win over Montpellier, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Simon was handed his first start in what was his home debut for Nantes in the 1-0 win over Montpellier after his debut goal helped them to all three points in the previous game away to Amiens.
The 24 year old Nigerian almost made an instant impact in front of the home fans but his effort sailed narrowly wide. Operating from the left he was a constant menace to the defence of Montpellier before capping his display with an assist.
He skipped past his marker before teeing up Abdoulaye Toure for the only goal of the game in the 84th minute and after the team Gourcuff was full of praises for the forward who will spend the season on loan from Levante with the Ligue 1 side having the option of signing him permanently next summer.
” Kader Bamba and Simon Moses have peculiar qualities to get past their markers. Simon is a magical with the ball. Himself and Bamba know how to put the danger against Montpellier tonight and they did just that”, Gourcuff said.
