One transfer that slipped under the radar was that of Nigeria youth international Kingsley Michael who left Serie A side Bologna on loan to Serie B outfit Cremonese.
Michael impressed for Bologna in pre season and was handed a start in their first league game against Hellas Verona which ended in a 1-1 draw, the game came after he made his first team in the 3-0 Coppa Italia win over Pisa.
He started both games and many believed he will remain at the club this season particularly after he signed a contract extension and also got a new pay package as reward for his performance while on loan to Perugia in the Serie B last season.
However, four days ago he was shipped out on loan but the recently turned 20 year old said he understands clearly why the club decided he need to go out on loan and vow to make the best use of his time at Cremonese.
” As much as I wanted to stay behind and fight for a spot at Bologna, a move away on loan is perfect for me because I still have a lot to learn and that will be very easy if I play regularly and at Cremonese the chance is there for me. So I understand the decision and I will make the best use of it”, Michael told Owngoalnigeria.com.
