One of the players invited by coach of the Nigeria U23 team Imama Amapakabo has been ruled out of the upcoming AFCON U23 Cup of Nations tie against Sudan after suffering a head injury, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
According to a statement on the website of his club Boluspor where he is on loan from top division side Yeni Malatyaspor, the defender picked up a head injury in their 1-0 win over BB Erzurumspor on Saturday.
Seth speaking few days ago confirmed his call up but according to the statement on the website of Boluspor he will be out for few days as his skull bone was discovered to have fractured when test was conducted on him earlier today.
The 21 year old who played for Nigeria at the last Olympic games in Rio was expected to provide experience to the defence of the Nigerian team when they take on Sudan on Wednesday in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
His withdrawal from the game will no doubt hamper the preparations of the Nigerian team because he has been in fine form this season, playing in all of the first three games of Boluspor this season.
