Partizani Tirani of Albania forward Theophilus Solomon says he is innocent on the incident that led to the red card he received in his team 1-0 win over Flamurtari , a game where his first goal for the team he joined in the summer ended as the match winner for his team.
Solomon moved to the Albanian side from Hungarian side Ujpest on a two year deal and has so far played in all but one game since his move. However he has now been sent off twice in three league games.
He was sent off in the first game of the season against Kukesi and missed the next league game before he was once again given the marching order eight minutes after scoring what ended as the match winner in the 22nd minutes.
” ‎I really think I am innocent. My eyes were on the ball I didn’t notice the defender, my focus was on the ball and how to divert it into the net. It’s sad that I caught the defender but I had no intention of harming him”, Solomon told Owngoalnigeria.com.
