Nigeria U23 midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is not in the immediate plans of second division Spanish side Huesca as he isn’t among the list of midfielders listed by the club on their official website, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Nwakali joined Huesca on a free transfer from Arsenal after failing to make sufficiently progress at the club following his move after his exploits at the 2017 U17 World Youth Championship where he was voted the Most Valuable Player ( MVP) .
As many as 11 players were listed by the club on their website but there was no spot for the 21 year old Nwakali who appears set for a loan move to 3rd division side Logrones despite his representative denying the move.
Huesca believe he hasn’t had sufficient game the past six months and a move to Logrones will help him build his fitness before he returns back to the team to push for a spot.
It’s still unclear if his non listing by the club has anything to do with his work permit application but even at that he still should have been listed as a first team player for the team, who are looking to return back to the Laliga following relegation last season.
