Arsenal rave of the moment Bukayo Saka has laid to rest speculation about his country of origin revealing that he is a Nigerian when questioned about his identity, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Saka has played for England at youth level with some even suggesting that he might have some connection with Ghana bit he has cleared the air about his country of descent.
Rated as one of the brightest prospect in England at the moment, the recently turned 18 year old politely rejected the British-Nigerian title he was handed by Dr. Kelechi during an interview posted by the Arsenal fan.
Reacting to a question from Kelechi at a social event, Saka proudly said he is Nigerian when asked if he is British-Nigerian. His comment will no doubt trigger a scramble for his senior international future between Nigeria and England.
“Where are you from? You are British-Nigerian right?” He replied by saying ” I am a Nigerian “.
