Super Eagles wing forward Samuel Kalu got off the mark for his French side Bordeaux with a goal in their 3-1 win over Amiens, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Kalu rounded up scoring for his team with an effort from range which went past the goalkeeper of Amiens to put his team 3-1 up and also move them to 5th position on the league table after seven league games in France Ligue 1.
The goal was his first in the league but not for the season as he scored in the Europa League game against Galatasaray last month even though his team ended up losing the game 1-3.
Last season he found the back of the net just three times, a tally he vowed to increase going into this season and with just seven games played he is already two goals shy of his last season goal count.
