Apeh who trained with the Nigeria U20 team in 2015 has been at Celta Vigo since last season with the club deciding to trigger their option of extending his deal for one more year following his arrival in the summer of 2018.
The Kaduna born forward who has already made his debut for the first team has not disappointed with four goals and one assist in the first five games of the season, the brace he scored against Penya Deportiva saw him set a new goal record for the B team.
He now has 12 goals in 29 games for the B team, one more than club legend Iago Aspas who needed 84 games before he was able to score 11 goals. Apeh however insist that his aim is to translate his scoring form if he gets a chance with the main team.
” When I was told about it, I was naturally happy to have made my mark at the club but my long term goal still remains making it to the first team and staying there with the goals I will hopefully score. I can’t wait to take my present form to the main team”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
