Jamilu Collins Open Goal Account In Style With 30 Yards Screamer Against Bayern Munich

Nigeria international defender Jamilu Collins stole the headlines despite his team Paderborn losing 2-3 to Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich at home, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Collins who is yet to miss a game for newly promoted Paderborn this season ‎popped up with a strike from 30 yards out to reduce the deficit for his team to 2-3 and it almost sparked a late revival but Bayern hanged on to claim all three points.

His goal which ended as a consolation was his first of the season, his first in the German top flight ‎and also his first goal for the club in 24 months since his move to the club in the 2017/2018 season when they were playing in the third division.

He was at the end of a clearance from Bayern after a corner kick and despite having bodies in front of him , he somehow managed to direct his well struck volley past Manuel Neuer in the Bayern goal.

Now fully established as the first choice left back of the senior national team of Nigeria, the Kaduna born defender has been linked with a move away from Paderborn in the future despite having a contract till the summer of 2022 with Paderborn.
