The fine run of Ligue 1 side Lille suffered a setback yesterday as they came from behind to draw 1-1 against Nice, which leaves them fourth on the log of the league table.
Nice took the lead through Kasper Dolberg in the 13th minute but it could have fallen behind if French Ligue 1 top scorer Victor Osimhen has tucked the early chance that came way.
Osimhen who has scored six goals this season fail to hit target with the goalkeeper at his mercy, something which came as a surprise to the striker himself and his teammates judging by how well he has settled down to life in France.
Lille level things up in the 24th minute to go into the half time break tied at 1-1. In the second half Nice were pegged back by Lille but once again Osimhen was guilty of missing another chance that looks easier to score than miss.
He used his work rate, pace and runs to get to a through ball but fail to apply the vital finish when it matters most to record another miss which clearly frustrated him.
Coach Christopher Galtier later substituted Osimhen with a minute to play in the game with ex Chelsea striker Loic Remy coming in but the change didn’t alter the final score as it ended 1-1.
