Chidera Ejuke has for the third time this season made the team of the week in the Dutch Eredivisie after the latest round of games where he scored a brace to power Heerenveen to a 3-0 win over VVV Venlo.
The goal was his fourth of the season from eight games for the club he joined in the summer from Norwegian side Valerenga where he scored a total of 13 goals in 59 games.
His nomination for the team of the week hasn’t gone unnoticed as he has forced his way into the list of players coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr want to scout extensively ahead of a potential call up to the Super Eagles.
As exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com, the 21 year old who is also eligible for the Nigeria U23 team will be handed a call up to the senior team if he maintains his fine form before the next game of the Super Eagles in November.
In the past he has trained with the U17 and 20 team of Nigeria but on both occasion he failed to make the squad for any major tournament but since moving to Norway he has improved in leaps and bounds, and that earned him the move to Heerenveen in the summer.
