The scorer of Lille’s only goal in their 1-2 loss to Chelsea Victor Osimhen has earned praises from coach of the English team Frank Lampard, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Osimhen evaded his markers to draw Lille level in the 33rd minute and came twice to scoring twice in a performance which saw him trouble Chelsea central defence duo of Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma.
Speaking after the game, Lampard said the 21 year old Nigerian who has scored seven goals in all competitions this season had a very good game as he caused his defenders a whole lot of trouble, he went as far as saying the Nigeria international has everything in his game.
“He was hugely impressive. Tonight was a tough match for our defenders. His performance was really good. He has everything in his game and it’s tough to play against him. I wish him well. He has a fantastic career ahead of him”, Lampard said at the post match conference.
Linked with a move to Chelsea next summer when their transfer ban would have been over, the forward joined Lille from Belgium side Charleroi in the summer after a productive spell on loan from Wolfsburg who were powerless to stop him joining Charleroi permanently after they activated the option of signing him permanently.
