One cap Super Eagles forward Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure has reacted to his brace for Club Brugge at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid which earned his side a shock 2-2 draw in the UEFA Champions League.
The Nigerian struck twice in the first half to give his side a healthy half time lead but a second half rally from Real Madrid helped the multiple times UEFA Champions League winners not to lose a second consecutive game in this year tournament.
Dennis who is one among the two Nigerians at the club was on for over seventy minutes with David Okereke the other Nigerian missing out on the game due to injury picked up in a Cup game.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, the 21 year old said it’s a dream come true for him because when the draws were made his wish was to get a goal against Real Madrid, he wasn’t even dreaming of scoring twice.
” The result wasn’t too good for my team but personally it’s satisfying to me because when we were drawn against Real Madrid my wish was to score at least a goal in the game. I got two and it really shows that dreams do come true”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
