Rangers of Scotland and Nigeria international midfielder Joe Aribo is in a race to be fit for the Super Eagles of Nigeria friendly game against Brazil in Singapore on the 13th of October, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Aribo made a goal scoring debut for Nigeria in the 2-2 draw against Ukraine after his string of impressive performances at Rangers earned him a call up to the senior national team of Nigeria.
The former Charlton man was once again included in the squad for the game against Brazil but a head injury picked up against Livingston in the Scottish League Cup means he could play in a face mask if he is given the all clear to team up with Nigeria.
He was stitched twenty times after the incident that led to his substitution in the game and coach Steven Gerrard said he is progressing nicely but won’t be rushed back to the pitch as the club intend to follow instructions from their medical team.
