Ahead of the Super Eagles of Nigeria next friendly game against Brazil, coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr has revealed how his team intend to approach the game which will be played in Singapore on the 13th of this month.

Fresh from their 2-2 draw against Ukraine last month, the Super Eagles are using the game to prepare for the next round of competitive games in November and Rohr said the game will test how far they have come since the World Cup in Russia.

” We will face a very top side in Brazil and it will be good to see how well we have learnt since we played at the global stage which is the World Cup. Progress of this team will also be known after the game. We are ready for it”, Rohr told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Rohr has been widely criticised for his defensive approach to games most times with his resolve to play 4-2-3-1 seen as a way of trying to have his team defend very well as a unit than play to their strength which is obviously in the attack but Rohr says that won’t be the case in the game.

” We approach every game the way we think is best and with the players available. The game against Brazil we will try to play offensive and not that defensive because we need to assert ourselves and make a point with a good result hopefully “, he remarked.
