Former Nigeria U17 captain Kelechi Nwakali has slipped under the radar at Spanish second division side Huesca since his permanent transfer from Arsenal, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Since joining the team on the 2nd of September, the 21 year old is yet to make the matchday squad of the team in any of the games of the season so far. Furthermore his name is yet to be added to the list of 11 midfielders in the rooster of the club on their official website.

A proposed loan move to 3rd division side Logrones was denied by his representatives but it appears like the surest route he will take if he is to get game time as he is clearly not in the immediate plans of Huesca who are aiming to return back to the Laliga at the end of the season.

Since moving to Arsenal, the forward has spent time on loan to MVV Maastricht where he did relatively well over two different loan spells but struggled at top division side VVV Venlo and last season couldn’t force his way into the team of the B team of FC Porto in the second division in Portugal.

His last two competitive games all came in the colours of Nigeria U23 where he played in the 4-0 win over Libya and also the recent 5-0 result against Sudan all in the race to be at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
