Players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria had their routine initiation of new players two days back at their camp ahead of their upcoming friendly game against Brazil on Sunday in Singapore.

Three new players in Viv Solomon-Otabor, Peter Olayinka and ‎Ramon Azeez were initiated by the players into their fold but in reality Azeez deserve not to be initiated because he made his debut in 2014.

As a matter of fact when the Granada midfielder made his debut none of the players in the camp of the team was a member of the team. Among the present Super Eagles players only Ahmed Musa and Kenneth Omeruo who are not available for the game made their debut ahead of him.

Azeez played for Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil under the tutelage of late coach Stephen Keshi meaning he had the honor of playing in an international tournament for Nigeria at senior level ahead of all the players who watched his initiation.

The confusion according to one of the players is because of his absence from the team for a while and that they only realize their error after one of the senior players who isn’t with them corrected them but that was after the initiation of new players.
