Gernot Rohr has lined up the Super Eagles players in a 4-2-3-1 formation for today’s game against Brazil, same style they used in the 2-2 draw against Ukraine in an international friendly game last month.

Rohr lined up the players same way despite the unavailability of three players who played in the game against Ukraine, he handed the spots of Ola Aina, Oghenekaro Etebo and Samuel Kalu to the trio of Chidozie Awaziem, Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon respectively.

However this time around Awaziem won’t be allowed to join the attack like Aina did against Ukraine as his selection is down to the fact that Brazil superstar Neymar operates from the left, so he will be tasked with sticking to the PSG star.

Ndidi will play as the defensive midfielder with Joe Aribo ahead of him while Iwobi will play in a role just behind the striker, although Aribo just like he did against Ukraine will be allowed to roam from box to box.

In attack Moses Simon comes in for Samuel Kalu and his main job will be to link up effectively with the other two in attack and also track back to help Jamilu Collins in defending when under pressure.

Samuel Chukwueze will be required to take the game to the left back of Brazil which will likely be Lodi to stop the Atletico Madrid man from joining the attack at will while top striker Victor Osimhen run the channels to exploit the lack of pace of Brazil’s center defence duo Marquinhos and Thiago Silva.
