
Injured Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho will experience a temporary halt to his loan spell with Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus as he is due for treatment in Spain, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Uzoho is feared out for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on international duty with Nigeria precisely the 1-1 draw against Brazil on Sunday.
The minimum time he is expected out is six months but Omonia will make a decision on his stay at the club only on advice from their medical team, although he will be treated in Spain.
For now the club will examine him before sending him to Spain for treatment while they await his recovery time which could see the loan terminated if he is due out for the rest of the season.
20 year old Uzoho has been a revelation this season at the club with four clean sheets in the five games the team has played so far with his form playing a role in their rise to the top of the table in Cyprus.
