Former Nigeria U17 and 20 goalkeeper Dele Alampasu has rejected offers from teams playing in the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL) as he bid to relaunch his career following his release by CD Feirense of Portugal.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that four teams in the top division in Nigeria made offers to have the 2013 World Youth Championship best goalkeeper ‎but he declined the offer on the grounds of expecting a deal from abroad soon.

Alampasu is now training on his own in Lagos awaiting a deal abroad and has been assured by some agents that a deal to Isreal or Sweden will materialize soon even though he will have to undergo trails.

Once viewed as the heir to Vincent Enyeama, Alampasu has already played for the senior national team of Nigeria but his club form cost him his spot in the team, which is now in the hands of Francis Uzoho who was third choice to Alampasu at U17 level in 2013.

His move to CD Feirense after a protracted transfer didn’t quite provide the step up his career need but he is still confident of returning to Europe, where he believe he will make his mark quicker than playing in the NPFL.
