The coach of the Nigeria U17 team Manu Garba has released the final list of 21 players for five time winners of FIFA U17 World Youth Championship ahead of the start of the 2019 tournament in Brazil, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
The main casualty were regular fullbacks Shedrack Tanko and David Oduko, the right and left full back of the team respectively. They were both dropped for the duo of Oluwatimilehin Adeniyi and Charles Etim, the latter scored a blinder for the team in their 4-2 friendly win over South Korea two days ago.
While the core of the team still remains almost same as the one that prosecuted the WAFU U17 Championship and the Africa U17 Cup of Nations, there was also the shock inclusion of Abba Bichi, Olawale Peter and Ojederan Hamzat.
The trio were initially not in the 25 man list of players who left the shores of the country for the camp in Brazil but made the team despite arriving late.
