Kelechi Iheanacho will take a stand on his future at Leicester City in the January transfer window after failing to break into the plans of coach Brendan Rodgers at the club.

Iheanacho is yet to taste action this season in the English Premier League and has only made the matchday squad once and that was in the 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle United.

He scored in his only appearance this season in the Carabao Cup with a goal in the 4-0 win over Luton but that too wasn’t enough to help him make the matchday squad after the international break as he was not listed in their 2-1 win over ‎Burnley.

Early this week he was linked with a move to Turkish side Besiktas and his agent has also hinted that a move away from Leicester City is very much on the card in the January transfer window if his lack of game time continues into next year.

” No footballer is happy sitting on the bench. Kelechi is not happy because he want to work for his weekly wage, his hardwork is yet to earn him a spot in the team and if it doesn’t change then when the transfer window opens a decision will be made about his future at the club”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
