Newly capped Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is having a terrible run of form in goal for the U23 team of Bundesliga side Fortuna Dusseldorf after conceding 3 times in their 0-3 loss to Wattenscheid 09.

Okoye made his senior international debut for Nigeria in their 1-1 draw against Brazil coming in as a substitute for Francis Uzoho when he went out injured. His composure won many over although it’s safe to say he wasn’t tested for the time he was on the pitch.

At club level, the goalkeeper has find it really tough to keep clean sheets and with the three goals he conceded over the weekend, he has now let in 17 goals ‎in just 7 games this season in the German 4th division with the most coming when his team were beaten 4-2 by the U23 of Borussia Dortmund.

His poor record can however be traced to the porous defence in front of the 20 year old as many of the goals have been as a result of chances he could barely do anything to stop the opponent from scoring.
