The first choice left fullback of the senior national team of Nigeria Jamilu Collins wasn’t listed by his Bundesliga club Paderborn as they crash to yet another defeat by losing 0-3 to Cologne.
Collins was for the first time this season not in the squad for the team since their promotion to the Bundesliga and with the defender not serving a ban his omission brought about a cause for concern.
Owngoalnigeria.com checks also revealed that the 25 year old is not injured rather he missed the game due to a flu like infection that he is recovering from after his return from the international round of games where he featured for Nigeria in their 1-1 draw against Brazil.
He is expected to be back in training later this week and hopefully will be available for selection in their next game as bottom of the table Paderborn continue their search for a first win this season.
The Nigerian has contributed a goal and an assist so far in this campaign from his position as a left fullback, he has also missed once from the spot in that has been a very steep learning curve for Paderborn in the German top flight.
