Coach of Scottish Premier League ( SPL) side Rangers Steven Gerrard says Nigeria international midfielder Joe Aribo will score lot of goals same way he scored in the 1-1 draw against Brazil.
Aribo made it two goals in two international games for Nigeria with a finish after running from deep to meet a pass from Moses Simon. The composure he showed in finishing the chance left many wondering.
Gerrard who signed the midfielder from League One side Charlton Athletics after his starring role in their promotion to the English Championship said Aribo’s game is all about such goals due to the way he plays from box to box.
“The moment of the goal against Brazil & the type of goal, he will score them throughout his career cos he’s got all the attributes to make the box & I still have to pinch myself that we got him here.
“Joe can be whatever he wants to be if he stays humble”, Gerrard said.
He will make his competitive debut for Nigeria next month when they play against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively in the race to be at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
