Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo says Partizan Beograd Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar gave them all sort of trouble in yesterday’s Europa League tie group match which they won 1-0.
Sadiq started for the home side and almost came close to scoring a spectacular goal but his effort came off the woodwork. All through the game he proved himself to be a tough customer for the defenders of the Premier League side.
Although he ended up on the losing side, Rojo admitted that playing against the Roma owned striker is not something defenders like due to the physical way he plays.
” We expect them to be competitive and they didn’t disappoint. It’s not an easy ground to get result so we have to be proud of our performance even though it would have been better”, Rojo said after the game.
” The number 9 ( Sadiq) plays with a lot of force, so physically you’ll be tested severally and we coped even though it wasn’t easy”.
