Nigeria international forward Henry Onyekuru has agreed a return to Turkey where he played on loan at Galatasaray last season after failing to make his mark at Monaco following his permanent transfer in the summer.
Last season Onyekuru scored 15 times for Galatasaray while on loan from Everton and his form earned him a move to Monaco where he was expected to be one of the stars of the team for the season.
Onyekuru has however fail to match expectations and in order to get his confidence back he pleaded with the club to let him return to Turkey, where Galatasaray are still keen on having him following his exploits last season at the club.
Monaco agreed to his request and in January barring a late minute change of mind, Onyekuru will return back to Turkey, Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered from sources close to the 22 year old.
The decision to allow him return to Turkey is probably the reason why he has missed out on two consecutive matchday squads as it appears the coaches are already planning for his exit.
