Coach of the Nigeria U23 team Imama Amapakabo has handed a call up to Isloch of Belarus left fullback Godfrey Bitok Stephen to beef up the defence of his team ahead of their campaign at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Comfortable as a left back or central defender, the former Gee-Lec Academy youth prospect has taken the league in Belarus by storm this season with four goals and six assists to his name in what is his first full season at the club.
19 year old Godfrey has already attracted interest from teams around Europe with his present deal set to run out in the summer although Isloch have already informed his representatives that they will be taking up the option to extend his deal.
He has been ever present for the team since his move to the team in March and his progress has been closely monitored by Imama before the decision to call him up to the team.
No date has been pegged for his arrival yet but he could arrive a bit late than other players as he is vital to the hopes of the team picking up a ticket to play in next year Europa League.
